This scares me to death. Anyone who is being watched as a terror suspect should not be allowed to purchase weapons in this country. Do we really want suspected terrorists to be in possession of a weapon that we allowed them to purchase? What happens when they use that weapon on the American people? If someone on the terror list is there for false reasons then they should be allowed to help clear their names. Alternately, if someone finds out they are on the list and starts changing their behavior or their name then we should be watching them more closely. I don't believe that the gun laws are strict enough. Right now if you are convicted of a felony then you are not able to purchase a weapon; however, there are plenty of people who have only been convicted of misdemeanor crimes who should not be allowed to purchase weapons either. It should not depend on whether your conviction is a felony or misdemeanor, but what the conviction is for.
